A few weeks ago Hayley posted some lyrics on her tumblr for a song that she had written called “In The Mourning.” Fans were curious about the melody, so Hayley posted a clip of the chorus. Today a video was posted on Paramore.net of Hayley and Taylor playing the song acoustically.
Though Hayley and Taylor have been hard at work writing songs for a new album, this isn’t a Paramore song, just something Hayley wrote for fun. I doubt this song will ever see an official release (though I’m hoping Hayley will post the full recording), which is probably why Hayley chose to share this rather than a Paramore song that they want to surprise us with later.

I like the song. I think the lyrics are cool and Hayley sings it so beautifully. I really hope they record and release it, and keep it acoustic.

it sounds like it has something to do with the splitting from josh and Zac, and ya it sounds like simple words but there is so much beauty in simplicity. you shouldn’t hate a type of music because its country or other wise its how people get out the emotions the keep bottled in. i understand we all have different taste in music but if all you are going to say is it sucks then keep it to your self and sooner or later they will come out with something you like, and if not just move on to another band. all opinions should be welcome but not if you are just trying to hurt people. this is not to be a paramore song she has stated time and time again. it was just something she wanted to share to show she still cares. we are still a family.

yeah like how they rocked “Ain’t woman enough” on the Honda Civic Tour! I don’t usually like country music but for some reason that was fun. :) i like country on occasion (if i die young- the band perry).
Indecisive about this. Maybe because it’s so quiet so and aquatic. I hope they make it more upbeat and rock out more…

it sounds sad… but I love it. downloaded it today. already the top most played on my itunes. yeah why IS the download 13 mins long? I was just like oh wow long song (my ipod was on replay and i didn’t know it) and I was like oh my god does this NEVER end?! oh wait its on replay and sounds like one long song whoopsies. :] its actually pretty short i wonder what it means. anyone have a clue? for some reason it almost made me cry.

it makes my heart melt . . wish they’ll include this in their new album, its great it sounded really good and hayley’s voice is sooo perfect, so smooth , well i can say that’s it the other side of paramore . . . they can play rock and slow music that sounded really good . .no wonder why they’re the favorite rockband in people’s choice award :))))

This is sweet and sad. It gets stuck in my head easily because her voice is so good, and the lyrics are very simple, but they have a lot of meaning. You just have to have a heart and some emotion. It really is good.
