At the Leeds festival in the UK yesterday August 29, 2010, Hayley wore this DIY-ed outfit. It’s the same belt, custom pants, and Nike post-match sneakers (sold out) that she has been wearing for the Honda Civic Tour, but with the addition of gloves that she cut the fingers off of and a t-shirt that she cut up and screen-printed with her catchphrase B.O.Y. (explained in the weekly update).

Hayley’s DIY t-shirts generally have a sloppy look to them, and this is no exception, but what makes it work is her attitude. In all of the photos I’ve seen from Leeds, Hayley looks like such a badass. It requires confidence to pull off this sort of look, and Hayley definitely has it. I think what fans should pull away from Hayley’s style isn’t wanting their own B.O.Y. t-shirt, it’s the ability to go against the grain and look good doing it.

Paramore is currently in the UK for the Reading and Leeds festivals. The Honda Civic Tour will resume on September 1st and continue until September 19th.

Hayley explained the meaning behind the phrase “Beware of You” (B.O.Y.) which she has incorporated into her Honda Civic Tour costumes: “I came up with it cause I wanted something that reminded me that I have the ability… power… (whatever you want to call it)… to build myself up or tear myself down. I’ve done an incredible job at doing both. And it’s my choice which one I want to be better at”

Hayley Covers Bed Intruder

Hayley Williams, Jordan Pundik of New Found Glory, and Ethan Luck of Relient K have done a punk cover of the viral hit “Bed Intruder song.” The cover was recorded at Ethan Luck’s home studio in Nashville.

If you are unfamiliar with the song, it started with Antoine Dodson’s hilarious interview on a Huntsville, AL news station after a man broke into the Dodson’s home and tried to rape his sister. The Gregory Brothers, the geniuses behind Auto-Tune the News, turned his interview into an auto-tuned rap song.

The opening acts for Paramore’s UK tour will be B.o.B and fun.
Paramore is on the September 2010 cover of Rock Sound magazine. You can view the photos on Paramore Spain.
Hayley shared Six Things You Didn’t Know About Paramore with Elle magazine
In Hayley’s latest MTV blog she writes about anti sex trafficking organization Love146. MTV has also added 3 more video clips of Paramore on tour.
There is a 37 second video of Paramore playing “Airplanes” during their soundcheck. According to Hayley’s twitter, it was just “for the heck of it,” but B.o.B has been confirmed to perform at the MTV VMAs, so there is a lot of speculation that they will be performing together.
While we’re on the topic of the VMAs, Ignorance is still up for voting for Best Rock Video

Airplanes Makeup Tutorial

Panacea81 has posted a tutorial for Hayley’s makeup in the “Aiplanes” music video. You can view her other Hayley makeup tutorials on out Makeup Tutorials page.

On a related note, in Hayley and Jeremy’s live video chat (which you can watch here), Hayley mentions a few more makeup products that she uses. She names Jane Iredale and La Bella Donna mineral powders, Sugarpill eyeshadow, Benefit, and MAC.

Hayley also tweeted about getting a second ear piercing. She says: “Got 2nd holes in my lobes. Its fun to get pierced… And I learned a lot about hygiene from the guys who stuck needles in my ears.”

Hayley’s color combo is one of the starting points shown on the Nike site, but you can customize virtually everything about these shoes. She got hers to say “Miss Anne” on the back, which is the name of her car.

At the Teen Choice Awards, Paramore won Choice Rock Group and Choice Rock Album and Choice Rock Track for “Ignorance.” Hayley and B.o.B. won Choice Hookup for “Airplanes.”
Paramore did an acoustic performance for AP’s 25th anniversary. You can find photos on their website and videos on YouTube.
Paramore have been posting a series of video clips on MTV.com
Hayley talks about their opening acts on the Honda Civic Tour in her second blog for MTV. In her first blog, she wrote about the challenge of winning over crowds in the early days of the band.

Hayley’s exact jacket is from H&M’s Divided collection and it costs $59.95. I believe it’s been out for a while, so it may or may not still be available in stores. H&M does not have a webstore. If you’re looking to buy online, ModCloth sells a similar lace blazer for $82.99.
