Hayley tweeted that these shorts, which she wore while painting a house for Habitat for Humanity, are from The Wonder Years (one of my absolute favorite bands). They aren’t available online, but you can get a very similar basic pair from Champion.

At the Leeds festival in the UK yesterday August 29, 2010, Hayley wore this DIY-ed outfit. It’s the same belt, custom pants, and Nike post-match sneakers (sold out) that she has been wearing for the Honda Civic Tour, but with the addition of gloves that she cut the fingers off of and a t-shirt that she cut up and screen-printed with her catchphrase B.O.Y. (explained in the weekly update).

Hayley’s DIY t-shirts generally have a sloppy look to them, and this is no exception, but what makes it work is her attitude. In all of the photos I’ve seen from Leeds, Hayley looks like such a badass. It requires confidence to pull off this sort of look, and Hayley definitely has it. I think what fans should pull away from Hayley’s style isn’t wanting their own B.O.Y. t-shirt, it’s the ability to go against the grain and look good doing it.

• Hayley explained the meaning behind the phrase “Beware of You” (B.O.Y.) which she has incorporated into her Honda Civic Tour costumes: “I came up with it cause I wanted something that reminded me that I have the ability… power… (whatever you want to call it)… to build myself up or tear myself down. I’ve done an incredible job at doing both. And it’s my choice which one I want to be better at”

Hayley Williams, Jordan Pundik of New Found Glory, and Ethan Luck of Relient K have done a punk cover of the viral hit “Bed Intruder song.” The cover was recorded at Ethan Luck’s home studio in Nashville.

If you are unfamiliar with the song, it started with Antoine Dodson’s hilarious interview on a Huntsville, AL news station after a man broke into the Dodson’s home and tried to rape his sister. The Gregory Brothers, the geniuses behind Auto-Tune the News, turned his interview into an auto-tuned rap song.
